Prior to joining Duffy Robilliard in 2007 Kathryn gained qualification as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) Therapist. For over five years she worked as a therapist for children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorders, Development Delay and behavioural problems. Within this role Kathryn worked closely with the families of these children, along with other treatment providers and within school settings, to develop appropriate and individualised programs with specific focus on behaviour modification, socialisation skills and learning. As an intern Forensic Psychologist Kathryn conducted research with the Department of Juvenile Justice, focusing on overall adolescent offending. She completed training and worked in the area of assessment, treatment and management of adult sexual offenders within the community, along with training in the assessment and preparation of forensic Court reports.

Kathryn has completed research in the following areas; the effects of Autism Spectrum Disorders upon siblings, examining the clinical framework of offending behaviour in adolescent offenders, the reunification of families following disclosures of incest sexual offences, and the evaluation of community-based sexual offender’s treatment in a Pre-Trial Diversion Program.

Kathryn has many years of experience in assessment and report writing in forensic, immigration, and medico-legal areas. Her particular areas of interest are adolescent offenders, sexual and violent offenders, intellectual disability and offending and the effects of interpersonal trauma.
